As well as organized courses
and training, Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesday evenings provide
opportunities for members to gain more sailing experience with the
advantage of safety boat cover and friendly help and advice where
needed. The club sailing boats may be hired by club members when they
are not required for training.
The following conditions apply:
• The
user must hold RYA level 2 (or be able to demonstrate equivalent
level of competence).
• The use must be pre-booked – it is not possible to just “turn
up” and use a boat without prior arrangement.
• The hire fee should be paid prior to using the boat.
• The user is required to return the boat to the boat park after
use and de-rig it.
• The user agrees to meet the insurance excess payment in the
event of damage.
• The boat may only be sailed when a safety boat is in
attendance, and must comply with sailing instructions issued by
the Instructor in charge / officer of the day.
